JMIR Wiki Medical Reviews (JMIR Wiki Med Rev) is an innovative journal that takes submissions from the best medical Wikipedia articles and after a peer-review publishes them as a review article. The goals of the journal are to: 1) improve the visibility, indexing, and impact of high-quality Wikipedia articles (by inclusion in bibliographic databases and featuring them on JMIR); 2) support the curation of free medical knowledge on Wikipeda by providing an academic outlet for Wikipedia contributions; and 3) further improve upon existing Wikipedia articles.

JMIR Wiki Medical Reviews (JMIR Wiki Med Rev) is an innovative journal which takes the best wikipedia/wikiversity articles in medicine, subjects them to peer-review, and publishes, archives and disseminates them as citable scholarly review articles (wikipedia) or original articles (wikiversity).

Articles will be typeset using NLM-XML so that they can be deposited in PubMed Central for permanent archiving and indexing in PubMed.

The goals of the journal are to: 1) improve the visibility, indexing, and impact of high-quality Wikipedia articles (by inclusion in bibliographic databases and featuring them on JMIR); 2) support the curation of free medical knowledge on Wikipeda by providing an academic outlet for Wikipedia contributions; and 3) further improve upon existing Wikipedia articles.
